Dr. Matthew Gold is in solo practice Neurology with a primary office in Winchester, MA. He graduated from Yale University (B.S. 1971) and Weill Cornell Medical College (M.D. 1975). He did his straight medical internship (1975-6) at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI and neurology residency (1976-9) at Duke University Medical Center. He completed a fellowship in Aphasia and Neurobehavior at the Aphasia Unit at the Boston VAH / Boston University Medical School. He is a member of the AAN, fellow in electrodiagnostics of the AANEM, Board Certified by ABPN and ABEM, and certified in Neurobehavior by UCNS. He is on staff at Winchester Hospital, Hallmark Hospitals, Holy Family Hospital (Methuen) and courtesy staff of BID-Needham Hospital. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Tufts University Medical School, and past site director of the Community Neurology Clerkship.

Dr. Gold is a past President of MNA, founder and editor of the erstwhile MassNeuroNews, and current webmaster of massneuro.org. He is also current Delegate to the Massachusetts Medical Society House of Delegates representing MNA, on the MMS Organized Medical Staff Section Executive Board, and a member of the Governing Council of the American Medical Association Organized Medical Staff Section and its Alternate Delegate to the AMA House of Delegates. He is the author of a number of successful Resolutions at MMS and the AMA, concentrating on general medical policy issues with a special interest in protecting/advancing each physician's ability to practice quality medicine (and a patient's access to this) with the least restrictions placed on exercising clinical judgement and maintaining the primacy of the doctor-patient relationship.
